What People Are Saying

Diane Faison’s portrayal of Harriet Tubman in her one-woman show, ‘The Spirit of Harriet Tubman,’ is both captivating and educational. Her powerful performance not only brings history to life but also deeply resonates with students, inspiring them with the story of Tubman’s bravery and determination. This show is a must-see for anyone looking to understand the courage and resilience of one of America’s greatest heroes. We love working with Diane and look forward to her performing for our students in the future.

Words cannot express how thankful I am that you joined us at Walter Williams High School to perform your 1 woman play. The reactions of the students was amazing—some of the students have never seen anything like your performance and it was transformative and life-changing for them! It was a transformative experience for me, as well.

Your message is powerful. Please, please continue to share. And thank you for sharing your gift with us. The impact you have is amazing. I’ve signed your petition to help get you to NY. Again, thank you for sharing your gift!

Ms. Diane Faison did an outstanding job last Saturday, February 11, 2023 with her portrayal of the life and times of Our Beloved Harriett Tubman.  The performance took us back in time and at times we wept in her sorrow and rejoiced in her triumphs!  The audience was multi-cultural but when Ms. Faison entered the room…all cultures and races became one…yes, she had OUR undivided attention!

As she transformed her wardrobe changes so effortlessly with the changing of her life…she eloquently set the atmosphere for the next scene …WITHOUT LEAVING THE STAGE!

The questions and answers segment was also very impressive as I witnessed Ms. Faison answered each question with ease and comfort.  Even from the mouths of children…she handled all questions with grace. The Spirit of Harriett Tubman performed by Ms. Diane Faison is a “must-see” for all ages!
